Our client, a leading innovator and manufacturer of bakery products servicing the foodservice industry, is looking to hire a Sr. Food Scientist for their Tulsa, OK area facilities.  This position will report directly to the Director of R&D and function as a leader to a small team in Food Science / R&D.

Key Responsibilities & Functions:

  • Play a key role in R&D / New Product Development for bakery products

  • Plan and coordinate Research and Development projects

  • Evaluate results and provide recommendations to management

  • Lead cross-functional teams on large projects across multiple departments

  • Develop working relationships with existing and potential vendors

  • Explore opportunities for improvement of existing products

  • Participate in bench-top and plant testing activities

Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related

  • Master's highly preferred

  • 7+ years of Research and Development experience in bakery / flour-based products

  • Experience in conducting production trials

  • Demonstrated ability in developing product specifications

  • Experience in interacting with vendors
