Sales Representative - West Coast - Colorants
Home Office, CA
Title: Sales Representative - Colorants Location: West Coast Territory
Mission: Our client, a processing of food ingredients, flavors and colors, is looking for a Sales Representative to add to their team. This person will be located in California and responsible for calling on West Coast food manufacturing/processing companies to promote colorant products and services.

Territory Planning: understands current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers
Manage the sales cycles across customer accounts
Gather intelligence concerning customers and report on competitive activity
Sustain sales activities, appointments, proposals, cold calls and utilize proper time management to potential West Coast customers
Use industry contacts to develop strong relationships with key-decision maker and influencers throughout the customers' organization. (purchasing managers, business managers, research and technology experts, plant engineers and sr. management).
Communication with customers and internal organization regarding pricing, product availability, forecasting and sample status
Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field
3+ years of industrial sales experience in a food/bev processing environment
Experience selling to food, cosmetic, agriculture or special applications processing companies
Experience selling synthetic and/or natural colorants
