R&D Food Scientist
Kinsa Group, in partnership with a New Holland, PA company are seeking a Food Scientist to join their team!
This position designs and develops new products and improves existing products within the framework of the Company's defined Innovation Strategy while following quality and costs standards, and timelines.
Manages product development projects up to the industrial transfer stage, and assists with industrial product launch
Conducts project feasibility studies to develop technical processes from benchtop prototypes to commercialized, ready to launch, product
Conducts competitive product analyse
Makes product prototypes in compliance with the product concepts
Designs, organizes, and monitors benchtop, pilot plant, and industrial experiments and sensory tests
Interprets and reports results of experiments and sensory tests
Participates in the selection and validation of equipment and packaging
Documents product and process specifications according to Good Practices
Works collaboratively with other departments, suppliers and subsidiaries
1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Food Engineering
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in R&D or production in the Food Industry
3. Knowledge of sensory analysis, nutrition, microbiology, biochemistry, food processing
4. Project management experience
5. Knowledge of food regulations and food packaging techniques
6. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
