Project Engineer - Mechanical - Dry Food Products
Title: Project Engineer / Mechanical / Dry Foods Location: Philadelphia, PA Area
Our client, a fast growing producer of premium all natural pet products, is searching for a Project Engineer to ad to this team. This person will be providing technical expertise, project management, driving results across capital execution and existing site assets and productivity improvements while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory compliance.
Attractive 6 figure salary
Corporate Target Bonus 10% of Base - paid annually
Plant Incentive Plan (PIP) 6 % of Base - paid quarterly
Equity Award 6% of Base Salary
Project Management for capital projects, equipment upgrades and expansions in a single food processing environment
Partners with Operations, R&D, Quality and Maintenance to proactively ensure products are manufactured right the first time to meet the business objectives related to safety, quality and cost
Identify equipment needs to support implementation of new processes and products
Support the Maintenance Team in day-to-day activities and trouble shooting
Advise and assist in effecting design changes to facilitate installation, improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation
BS Engineering, Mechanical preferred
3+ years of Mechanical Engineering Project Management experience in a food processing environment
Experience with TQM, TMP, LEAN and OEE initiatives
Working knowledge of GFSI schematics
Experience with Office, AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT
Knowledge of plant operations from a technical and mechanical perspective including food processing and packaging and utility systems such as boiler operations, compressed air, ventilation, hot water, cold water, steam distribution, heat exchangers and refrigeration systems (ammonia)
