Production Manager, Baked Goods

Southwest Chicago, IL

Discipline: Operations - Farming, Operations - Manufacturing Job Number: 7819 Industry: Bakery

Mission:  Kinsa is partnering with a bakery manufacturing company that is looking to fill a Production Manager role. The products consist of donut mix and gourmet chocolate to ready to serve cakes and frozen muffins.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of programs and procedures to maximize production, minimize waste, increase capacity and efficiencies and maintain product quality and integrity
  • Establish safety as a top priority through training, equipment/job design, work assignments and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure product safety and establish high performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), International Food Standards (IFS), American Institute of Baking (AIB) and Food Safety requirements
  • Adhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facility

 

Background Profile

  • BA degree with food manufacturing preferred
  • Three years’ management experience required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Proficient in basic math skills
