Mission:   Our client is a growing and innovative chemical packaging manufacturer based in the Gary/Hammond, IN area.  The Packaging Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and managing projects, designing and installing systems, developing procedures, training, and interacting with customers and others at the organization to see the projects through to completion. Proven experience with strong root cause analysis and leading investigations is needed.

Competencies/Culture:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial) is required

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer (food manufacturing environment)

  • At least 10 years of progressive roles in manufacturing is preferred

  • Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred

  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt is needed - strong data analysis

  • Experience with statistical software such as Jump, Minitab, etc.
