Kinsa Group, in partnership with a Seattle based company are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Mechanic.
Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems in order to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs hands on repair and /or fabrications of plant equipment and machinery in support of the plant equipment and systems maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance (PM) to ensure maximum productivity and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to solve maintenance related problems and to improve key maintenance parameters including but not limited to asset utilization, maintenance cost, Preventive Maintenance (PM) compliance, and schedule compliance.
Provides training and instruction to production staff related to equipment operation, maintenance and repair, so they can complete ongoing ‘day to day’ repairs to most production equipment without assistance from the Maintenance Mechanic.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility required with; Associates Degree or Certificate in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology or other related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred or; any combination of education and experience that provides the same expertise.
Proficient in maintaining and repairing production related equipment and systems.
Welding, electrical, low voltage, Certifications required; HVAC certification preferred.
Proficient in managing maintenance related projects.
Ability to obtain and maintain valid forklift certification.
Good understanding of proper usage and storage of all chemicals according to SDS instructions.
Ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and instruct others on its operation.
Ability to work assigned hours.
Utilizes basic computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office, production software in the daily work.
