Our client, a food & beverage processing and packaging equipment manufacturer, is looking for a East Coast Regional Sales Manager to add to their team. This person will be responsible for contacting food manufacturers on the East Coast to sell custom made food processing machines, equipment and services.

Your role with the Company

Responsible for promoting and generating sales of Custom Designed Automation Equipment

Work closely with other sales professionals to identify, qualify, and close system sales. Manage strategic partner relationships

Develop new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services

Identify business opportunities by identifying existing client needs. Build new relationships and generate new business

Maintain relationships with existing clients and evaluating on going equipment needs

Generate Sales:

Drive profitable sales growth across multiple equipment categories

Develop relationships with clients

Plan, coordinate, and schedule sales calls and technical meetings

Sales Planning:

Prepare for sales visits; develop general and client-specific sales strategies

Establish short and long term goals

Seek information regarding industry standards and new products to maintain competitive intelligence

Analyze customer's business for needs and selling opportunities

Equipment and Technology Sales:

Coordinate with other sales professionals to demonstrate and sell equipment and technology

Seek opportunities to discuss benefits and features of equipment and technology solutions based on customer needs

Communicate financial benefits of equipment purchases

Internal company processes:

Manage Sales process with internal organization to completion of project

Schedule client meetings with Application Engineering, Project Management, Engineering and Controls as needed

Customer Relations:

Manage all aspects of customer accounts from presentation of products and services to ongoing system projects

Hold client relationship meetings

Interpersonal Skills:

Establish and maintain productive, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, vendors and colleagues

Build trust and rapport in business relationships

Respond to difficult people and situations and deliver negative information while preserving relationships

Problem Solving & Decision Making:

Analyze a situation, identify and evaluate client concerns and escalate appropriately and take appropriate action

Make decisions and solve problems in a timely manner

Background Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business or related Business field

5+ years of selling food/beverage processing equipment

Experience in consultative sales

Experience selling in a multi-state region (East Coast)

Ability to travel 5-% of the time
