Job Description
Kinsa is recruiting for a: Director of R&D – Meat industry
Location: Oak Forest, IL
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of meat products and has an opening for a Director of R&D due to retirement. The Director of R&D will lead the commercialization of product changes and implementation of new products and processes. You will be joining a company that treats all employees like family, very friendly and transparent, yet hard-working.

Responsibilities:
- Lead commercialization of product changes and implementation of new items and processes
- Test product formulations to identify best formulas, equipment and optimal manufacturing procedures
- Execute small and large scale plant tests
- Create and manage product specifications, maintaining accurate and complete records
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Food Technology, Meat Science or related
- 6+ years of experience in R&D with managerial experience in a meat processing facility
- Multi-plant experience
- Self-starter, excellent organizational skills
