Director of Operations - Distillery/Spirits
Chicago Land Area, IL
Title: Director of Operations - Spirits/Distillery Location: Chicago Land Area
Mission: Our client, a producer of premium spirits, is looking for a Director of Operations to add to their team. This person will be responsible for defining the overall process of the operations including distilling, packaging, Quality Assurance, sanitation, go-to-market strategy and distribution.
Paid holidays and vacation time
Oversee day-to-day operations at the distillery
Full P&L responsibilities (with administrative support)
Work with Tasting Room / Event Space Manager to improve operations and drive growth for on-site operations
Work with Head Distiller to plan production schedule and maintain inventory
Support compliance and reporting duties
Help define distillery brand(s) direction
Distillery currently undergoing re-branding process, expected to be an active voice in key brand identity decisions
Determine go-to-market strategy, including distributor negotiations, retail rollout planning, and on-premise strategy
Minimum 3 years management experience in team environment
Experience in liquor industry preferred, alternatively looking for extensive sales, marketing, operations, and/or retail experience
Understanding of quality assurance/quality control and legal environment
Bartending or bar management experience (a plus)
