Corporate Quality Assurance Manager
Title: Corporate QA Manager Location: Long Island, NY
Mission: Our client, a leading provider of foodservice for schools meeting USDA regulations for breakfast and lunch programs, is looking for a Corporate Quality Assurance Manager. The QA Manager will ensure that all food products meet corporate, client, and regulatory specifications for food safety and consistent quality by working with suppliers, co-manufacturers and multi-plant operations staff.

Create and update detailed food manufacturing and food ingredient specifications for food production
Create and update finished product specifications, and ensure compliance
Update food product recall program; including performing mock recalls
Develop relationships and arrange for scheduled visits with co-packing facilities across the United States
Perform regular on-site audits of production and distribution facilities
Associates or Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology or lab science, preferred
5+ years' experience in a food manufacturing facility with increasing responsibility in Quality Assurance/Control
Knowledge of GFSI certifications [global food safety initiatives like SQF or BRC]
Strong working knowledge of FSMA [The Food Safety Modernization Act]
Knowledge of FDA and USDA policies and procedures
