You will be responsible for directing and leading the Maintenance Department and making sure procedures and standards are maintained. Implementing process improvements and reducing plant costs while adhering to codes and regulations are first and foremost.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment

- Maintain and repair all heating and cooling systems

- Perform tasks in electrical, ventilation and roofing

- Inspect building and equipment for needed repair / maintenance

- Perform all proactive preventive maintenance as scheduled

- Identify conditions needing major repair and recommend corrective action

- Available for ON CALL duty on nights and weekends to address emergencies

- Manage facility maintenance budget

- Develop and manage capital projects

- Be able to wire and troubleshoot power and control circuits

- Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and suggest/implement improvements

Education/Experience

-Bachelor's degree

-5 to 7 years' experience working in a seasonal packaging and/or manufacturing equipment

-Knowledge of procedures for welding operations, tool and die manufacture, machine shop operations, maintenance mechanical work, pipe fitting

-Extensive knowledge of maintenance techniques and repair procedures on general types of industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, electric motors, fans, conveyor belts, air conditioning equipment, etc.

-Design and drafting skills for structural steel, piping, general fabrication and layout of equipment

-Knowledge of construction techniques

Our client, a food & beverage warehousing and storage company in the San Bernardino, CA area is looking for a General Manager for their logistics division. This person will be responsible for managing the supply chain operation along with all supply chain personnel.

Your role with the Company

Manage Logistics Management and Transportation operations that are responsible for moving perishables, frozen, dry and liquid goods to our stores both regionally and across the USA using all modes of transportation

Ensure customer/vendor / carrier contract requirements are administered, enforced and maintained

Must manage budgets for all operations to include cost controls

Seek out innovative processes that utilize the talent of our people and create efficiency and world class customer service

Utilize information technology to determine trends, opportunities, savings and efficiency

Ensure all sites operates to the routines outlined in the site interaction matrix and standard operating procedures

Establish relationships both externally and internally that bring real value to the operations and those we serve

Provide leadership in product quality assurance relative to all aspects of transporting freight

Critically analyze the operations current transportation processes, comparing on-time KPI's for all store deliveries and non-store deliveries. Analyze and provide recommendations for improvement

Take an active leadership role in succession planning and staff retention

Communicate, administer and enforce state and company policies (i.e., accounting, operational, regulatory, and administrative)

Ensure all documentation and reports are processed in a timely manner and accurately

5 years' experience managing a transportation team, specializing in trucking operations & logistics, refrigerated , van, inter modal

5 years' experience working in an environment that utilizes 3rd party carriers

Experience with on-call response coverage including after-hours and weekends

Negotiating experience

Computer System Skills:

Experience working with a TMS (Transportation Management System), preferably Truck Mate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet.

Understanding of DOT regulations
