Our client, a premium healthy fresh prepared foods company selling via retail grocery and home delivery, is looking for a VP of Operational Excellence to add to their team. report to the CEO, have direct oversight and accountability of Culinary Center Operations through their departmental management level support. This individual will partner with the organization on continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.

Your role with the Company

Take over full leadership of Culinary Operations, with 5 direct reports

Optimize the people development plan of the culinary center including the financial responsibility of the P&L and the optimal staffing to ensure a best in class, fiscally viable production center

Oversee supply chain management as a function of cost management

Organize and facilitate kaizen / rapid improvement events

Develop metrics and return on investment (ROI) before recommending projects to determine business expectations

Analyze realization of measurements upon completion

Develops and train others on Lean Manufacturing tools including Kaizen, A3, Value Stream

Mapping, Problem Solving, 5S, Material Flow, Waste Elimination etc.

Lead and facilitate training in LEAN principles for the organization

Develop standard process improvement tools for departments to utilize in process improvement efforts

Consult with the organization, including the other executives in the organization including the

CEO, CFO, VP of Retail Operations and VP of Culinary Innovation and Director of Product

Marketing on operational excellence approaches

Work with the team to develop KTM (Key Task Management) process controls as well as develop glass walls for continuous measurement of the effort

Continually focused on reducing wasted inventory, unevenness and re-work within the organization from the culinary center to retail stores to our home office

Partner with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities, present ideas, make recommendations and act based upon analysis to further business goals

Participate and development of Hoshin process and participation in other strategic development initiatives

Continue to stay up to date on LEAN principles and management by partnering with LEI and other LEAN learning in the most optimal way

Background Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field

5 years of operations leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing/processing environment

Experience with organization and change management

Experience managing multiple projects with multiple deadlines

MUST have  LEAN or Process Improvement Implementation experience in a multi-site environment

Experience with analytics, retail demand planning and/or manufacturing
