About the role:

Food Equipment and Facility Sanitation supervisor will perform sanitation on equipment used for food related products. Scope of ability includes: inspect, clean, sanitize, and have ability to climb over and under equipment. Must be able to scrub, move water hoses and operate pressure washers. This is a job that uses a large quantity of water and has a variable schedule, sometimes requiring a split shift.

Description

-Oversee the day to day activities of the sanitation crew

-Meet standards to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction

-Oversee the retention and development of the production team

-Plan, direct, and coordinate the sanitation of the plant and all equipment and machinery

-Oversees and ensures accurate ratio of chemicals are used and proper usage of chemicals throughout the plant

-Supervises, directs and coordinates activities of all sanitation team members involved in the food manufacturing

-Maintain daily production boards including productivity, issues and enhancements

-Develop, train and coach associates engaged in Sanitation for future career advancement

-Trains new and existing associates on proper processes and procedures

-Creates, updates, and maintains Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures for all required cleaning activities. Ensures all production and packaging equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to defined procedures.

-Ensures daily pre-ops and all sanitation paperwork are completed correctly, reviewing signing off all cleaning schedules and controls. Works closely with QA to ensure sanitation compliance with the Environmental Monitoring Program.

-Communicates and assist in the resolution of any broken equipment, chemical spills or any other hazards within the production facility.

-Perform work procedures using Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to ensure food safety

-Adheres to all safe quality food (SQF) requirements and standards in CMM. Including the proper handling of all produce according to SQF standards

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in a related discipline

-2-5 years of experience in Sanitation or Food manufacturing facility

-Bi-lingual (reading, writing and speaking) English and Spanish.

-Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
