Our client is known around the world as a key player in the frozen food industry and the leading provider to the in-store bakery, food service, and retail marketplaces. They are one of the world's top family-owned food companies.

Key Responsibilities & Functions:

  • Oversight of a major Research and Development segment providing people/team leader

  • Leads new product development, product renovation, cost savings, startups, and technical sales support

  • Develop and communicate business plans to executive management

  • Ensure adequate resources (equipment, people, budgets, etc.) are available for department initiatives

  • Oversee and prioritize all R&D projects, programs, and activities

  • Engage regularly with both internal and external customers to understand priorities and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Assure effective best practices for R&D personnel and food safety at all times

Background Profile:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related, MBA a plus

  • 10+ years of food industry experience

  • 5+ years of R&D team management experience

  • Experience with baked goods/dough ideal

  • Excellent communication skills
