Mission:   Our client is a Bakery food manufacturer based in the New Haven, CT area.  The mission for the Quality Assurance/Food Safety Manager is to lead the team in Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Sanitation making sure the team meets the standards that are set by leadership and the industry.  The QA Manager will have responsibility for managing audits, looking for process improvements, scheduling maintenance, and leading a team of employees.  The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of management in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Base salary of $70K to $90K

  • Company contribution towards employee benefits

  • 401(k)

  • Vacation and Holiday pay

Competencies/Culture:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or equivalent

  • At least 7-10 years of manufacturing experience with 5 of those years in management

  • Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, packaging and quality assurance

  • Previous experience managing BRC audits
