Quality Assurance Supervisor / Bakery Products
Our client, a local premium bread company to Milwaukee, WI is looking for a QA Supervisor to add to their team. This person will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining QA programs while directing the daily activities of a few direct reports.
Your role with the Company
Coordinates activities with management team to maintain organizational consistency
Coordinates and maintains the food safety program to assure compliance to food safety regulations, certifications, and customer requirements
Provides information and guidance to management regarding non-conformance (raw materials, work in progress, and finished products) customer complaints and production-related problems
Maintains, updates, and presents training for all co-workers: Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, HACCP, Allergen Control Plans, Food Defense
Leads the development and implementation of quality and food safety systems and practices and requirements, in conjunction with management of other functional areas in the Company
Maintains documentation program customer and regulatory audits
Maintains, reviews, and approves product specifications and test procedures for customer, raw material, work in process, and final product approval
Completes customer requests for verification of product specifications and general information regarding GMP, Food Safety, HAACP, Allergens, Process Control, etc.
Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers
Works in accordance with all federal, state, and local safe production facility requirements.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology, or Business Administration and 5-7 years related experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Certifications and/or training in GMPs, HACCP, Food Safety (PCQI preferred) and Allergen Management is required
Previous auditing and training experience is helpful
