New Business Development Sales Manager - West

Mission:  Our client is a leading provider of reusable packaging and supply chain solutions across a wide range of food & beverage markets.  The mission of the Sales Manager, Business Development will be to develop and secure new business opportunities in the meat/poultry industry.  With a message that fits the national imperative of sustainability and reducing food waste, our client's packaging solutions ensure a higher quality / fresher product upon delivery, as well as better efficiencies and display of food items.

This is a home office position that can be based in any major U.S. city West of the Mississippi.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Identify, pursue, and close sales/new business opportunities with companies operating in the meat protein, poultry, or eggs industry utilizing packaging related to those products

  • Focus primarily on securing new customers and new business development

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with protein based clients with headquarters or locations in the Southeast US, as well as attend industry trade shows and events


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience  

  • 5-10+ years of sales/new business development experience in the food industry

  • Experience developing relationships and selling to industrial / food manufacturing clients in the poultry, meat protein, and/or egg industries

  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics and analytics for food service and retail grocery in the Southeast US also a plus

  • Willingness to travel 50-75% (typically Monday - Thursday)
