National Account Manager - Center of the Store/Retailers
Our client, a producer and packager of premium walnuts, is looking for a National Sales Manager to add to their team. This person will be responsible contacting large food retailers and club stores for sales opportunities.
Your role with the Company
Sales and Relationship Management
Develop strategies to identify, target and capitalize on sales opportunities
Understand customer needs, strategic priorities, organizational processes and logistics systems
Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the competitive market environment to facilitate sales development efforts
Continuously network; travel to customers or food shows as needed
Reach agreement and influence contracting decisions
Prepare and submit tender/bid packages
Negotiate contract terms
Listen to customer to understand all needs
Oral and written communication to clearly convey messages to both customers and internal parties
Strong drive for results in markets, customers, volume and margin.
Bachelor's Degree in sales, marketing or business
5+ years sales experience in food or specialty ingredients sector
Experience with proven value selling approaches and techniques
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in creation and execution.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
