Our client is known around the world as a key player in the food industry, a leading provider to food service and retail marketplaces.

Food Scientist

About the Role:

  • Develop new product innovations and improve existing formulations

  • Select and test new food ingredients

  • Project leader on new product commercialization

  • Design and execute experiments [DOE], analyze and interpret data, make recommendations, coordinate resources, work with other disciplines

  • Use labs and food manufacturing equipment to prepare and test prototype products

  • Develop process specifications, train, and transfer knowledge to QA and Operations

  • Use state of the art, emerging technologies in product development and ingredient usage

  • Provide technical support for assigned food category as subject matter expert

Background Profile:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related, Masters a plus

  • 4+ years of food industry R&D and product development experience

  • Experience with baked goods/dough ideal

  • Excellent communication skills required
