Our client, a growing producer of ingredients for the foods and beverage industry, is looking for a Director of Sales to add to their team. This person will be responsible for managing a small team while sustaining consistent sales growth with the company's overall goals.

Your role with the Company

Assure that company's sales and technical staff work with customers in establishing protocols, solving problems and addressing technical requirements

Oversee sales staff in their customer service responsibilities and performing this role personally for key accounts

Motivate, coach, and train the sales team to achieve company goals

Manage and achieve consistent growth in both revenue and gross margin for company

Responsible for employee development and sales team recruitment

Identify and develop prospective new customers and sell across multiple product lines

Travel to customer locations to make technical sales presentations about our products and services

Assist Marketing Department to plan and create strategy for national and regional trade shows

Develop sales metrics and suggest improvements

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and recaps

Communicate customer feedback throughout the organization to generate ideas about new opportunities or products

Collaborate closely with other division on sales targets, strategy and approach to the market

Background Profile

Bachelor's degree in business related field (desired but NOT necessary)

5 years outside business input sales experience with at least 5 years of experience managing a sales team

Experience in the food ingredients industry a plus

Juice Processing/Juice HACCP understanding is a plus

Strong relationship building, project management, projection/planning and organization skills.

Experience with freight and logistics is a major plus

Excellent functional computer skills with ability to multi-task

Understand Food Safety System schemes (HACCP, GFSI, FSSC 22000)

Understanding of fruit processing/handling and the relevant applications of company's products
