About the Role
Must have experience with meat products
Conduct periodic Mock Recalls to ensure that the traceability program and other internal QA Programs are functioning properly.
Communicate with direct reports, Plant Manager, Superintendent(s), and the Director of QA with reports, updates, changes and modifications to programs and procedures.
Assist and facilitate internal and external audits by third parties companies, and coordinate with outsourced laboratories to validate product analysis and testing.
Implement and assure compliance to Quality Policy at plants and distribution facilities in the absence of the Director of QA.
Manage direct reports including QA technicians and HACCP coordinators.
Bachelors in Food Science, Agricultural or related field is highly preferred
HACCP Certification and SQF, BRC, or other GFSI certification is required
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in RTE Cured Processed Meat environment
Experience in Managing QA staff is preferred.
