Key Functions:


: Supporting the Corporate Purchasing Department  

: Managing and administrating inbound and outbound resources and goods, including the oversight of purchasing, inventory, warehousing and transportation activities

: Identifying and overseeing Raw Material and Packaging requirements to meet production requirements in SAP

: Manages raw material and packaging inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item

: Closely monitor, report and escalate supplier risks to the management and central Purchasing Department. This includes generating reports and analyzing risk metrics for multiple vendors

: Review issues and queries related to Accounts Payable / Vendor Invoices

: Maintain Local Vendor Files

: Purchase MRO supplies (non-inventory, non-maintenance)


: Collects raw data from production floor

: Issues raw material and packaging by area in SAP

: Issue labor into SAP

: Work with Production Supervisors to resolve reporting discrepancies and issues

: Prepares daily production report

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience required:

: Procurement/Purchasing

: Hands-on in a fast-paced production facility

: Food Manufacturing (in a temperature controlled environment)

: Planning, assigning, and directing work

: Addressing complaints and resolving problems

Skills required:     

: Ability to work with cross-functionally with other departments

: Ability to proactively solve problems and deal with a variety of situations

: Ability to understand production usage, safety levels, lead times, timing of deliveries

: Must have excellent Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet research experience

: SAP experience

: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

: Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task different priorities

: Strong organizational and time management skills

: Willingness to work in a hands-on environment
