Company

Our client, a processor of premium dried nuts/fruits and chocolate coated snack products, is looking for a Plant Manager to add to their team. This person will be responsible for the day to day activities of a single plant operation.

Your role with the Company

Coordinate daily with the Production Planners to schedule predetermined forecast processing

and production of finished goods inventory and work-in-process

Meet with the Production Manager to review and revise Maintenance and

Sanitation efforts, production inefficiencies and other daily tasks

Communicate with Sanitation Supervisor all pre scheduled sanitation tasks to meet

company and third-party auditor's standards for plant sanitation

Communicate with Project Managers to meet the needs for new equipment

installations, unscheduled repairs and maintenance and plant and facility repairs, expansions

and/or consolidations

Meet with and direct production lead workers, maintenance lead workers,

Sanitation Supervisor, Production Manager, Production Planner and Human Resources in

staffing requirements, disciplinary issues, equipment and supply requirements, problem

solving, production inefficiencies and ongoing quality standards review

Negotiate, contract with and schedule OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) for all

maintenance which requires Manufacturers' assistance on existing and/or new equipment

installations and warranty R&M (repairs and maintenance)

Source, bid out, contract with and schedule companies and/or individuals for new and/or

replacement/maintenance of facilities, equipment and structures including, but not limited to,

interior and exterior walls, doors and fixtures, dock equipment and doors, roof, HVAC and

other roof equipment, parking lots, landscaping, irrigation, signage, security cameras and

equipment, and power equipment and transformers

Operate and document applications of Microgen insect fogging devices as needed using FDA

approved chemicals

Background Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations or related field

5+ years of operations leadership in a food or beverage manufacturing/processing environment

MUST have experience with 3rd party food safety audits

MUST have experience working with allergens

Working knowledge of SQF and HACCP

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
