Company

Our client, a producer of premium malt whiskey, is looking for a Market Manager for the New York area. This person will be responsible for working with their distributor network to engage local businesses to carry a variety of alcoholic beverages.

Your role with the Company

Achieve sales, merchandising and profit goals by helping distributors attain their sales volume and profit objective on our products

Assist distributors, sales representatives and accounts in attaining their sales and distribution objectives on our brands by working with them and providing training support on our product line

Maintain a key account list and develop personal relationships with key buyers/owners and managers

Assist assigned accounts in attaining their sales and profit objectives by wait staff trainings and promotions

Assist Regional Manager in distributor management meetings by providing well documented reports on the levels of distribution, display, and sales by the distributor

Conduct sales meetings to the distributor sales force

Monitor inventory and proper use of P.O.S. material

Follow through on all commitments made to distributor management, sales personnel, and the trade

Review monthly account performance

Promotional agency budget planning, forecasting and management

Identify market trends and opportunities, and develop respective action plan

Background Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business Sales or related field

5+ years of beverage experience from a non-alcoholic or alcoholic supplier

Experience managing a distributor network

Territory management necessary
