Our client, a growing multi-site premium food processor.  They are looking for the head of all their Quality and Food Safety - Divisional VP of Quality Assurance & Food Safety. Opportunity to be the company's quality and food safety authority, providing leadership to the company's multiple facilities as the company continues to grow.   

Your role with the Company

Responsible for setting the strategy direction, while maintaining the highest quality food products and food safety systems throughout the organization along with supporting current and future growth.

Ensure compliance of food, ingredients and packaging related to food manufacturing regulations.

Manage multi-site team of individuals throughout quality, food safety and lab.

Management of GFSI/SQF programs.

Approves quality/food safety of new ingredients and suppliers.

Oversite of recall prevention, verifying accuracy and conduction mock recalls.

Communicates with government agencies (USDA/FSIS/States).

Background Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Animal Science or similar field, with a Master's preferred

Minimum of 10 years of food manufacturing experience, with 7 years of quality/food safety management and a minimum of 5 years managing a team.

SQF and HACCP certifications with knowledge of USDA/FDA and labeling.

In-depth scientific knowledge/understanding and ability to be proactive and collaborative throughout the organization.

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Project management, problem solving and ability to prioritize competing matters/issues.
