About the Role

  • Responsible for building the strategic road map and sales plan for acquiring customers and growing revenue in the US

  • Expert in Grocery/Supermarket category, able to forecast sales in the marketplace, both on a national scale and regionally

  • Identify valuable emerging markets and prioritize markets

  • Build and develop an effective sales team as well as brokers and distributors

  • Develop sales strategies for "getting on the shelf" and "off" the shelf

  • Work with Marketing team to implement marketing strategies and analyze trends and results

  • Provide accurate and regular sales reporting for senior leadership

  • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, expos and conferences

Background Profile

  • 5 to 10 years of retail / grocery sales management experience in the food or beverage industry

  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales of specialty brands or specialty products is required, ethnic or international specialty product markets a plus.

  • Experience developing sales plans/business plans for expansion

  • Experience leading/managing a direct sales force

  • Experience with retail brokers and distributors

  • Must be able to show successful sales growth at either Regional or National level

  • Bachelor's Degree is required in Business or related field
