Our client, a non-profit locally owned healthcare organization, is interested in hiring a Director of Nutrition and dining services.  This position will be based in Lincoln Nebraska.

Job Functions:

  • Direct and Develop the Medical Center's nutrition and dining services programs

  • Supervise all department personnel, training, budgeting, purchasing, equipment, facility layout/design, and safety

  • Responsible for all activities of the department including Production, Patient Service, Cafeteria Service, Catering Service, and Nutrition Services

  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate staffing activities, work processes, and productivity of the department

  • Communicate and administer hospital and human resource policies and procedures

  • Coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance of equipment, and ensures equipment is well maintained

Required Background:

  • Expertise in nutrition and food preparation

  • Knowledge of effective and efficient food service equipment layout and design

  • Familiar with the standards of the Joint Commission as they pertain to nutrition and dining services

  • Experience in developing written policies and procedures, and performance evaluations

  • Ability to schedule, direct, counsel, and evaluate employee work and performance
