Our client is a well-capitalized, newly formed company that will recycle post-consumer PET and manufacture high recycled PET (rPET) packaging for the food, beverage, and other consumer products industries. They are currently looking to hire a Chief Engineer/Director of Facilities Maintenance for their corporate headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a startup that has excellent potential.

Job Functions:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee all of the plant and equipment maintenance/repair activities

  • Seeking an impact player who is fully aligned with the company mission and  can grow with the company and impact a success story

  • Develop and track equipment maintenance regimens for production line and auxiliary equipment critical to the plant's operation

  • Engineering activities that are designed to enhance safety, product quality, and the performance of the operations

  

Required Background:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering highly preferred (Candidates with significant work experience will be considered that do not have a 4-year degree)

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Manage and lead the team including optimal staffing levels, recruitment, training & development, evaluation, attendance, and addressing disciplinary issues

  • Project management skills related to upgrading existing equipment and in the expansion, oversight, and installation of new lines

  • PET recycling and polymer processing including converting manufacturing equipment

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in packaging materials manufacturing and PET recycling
